Q1: What does this card's "when ... would leave the battle area other than by ... a battle" mean, exactly?
"When ... would leave the battle area other than by battle" refers to when that Digimon is placed in the trash other than as a result of a battle, returned to the hand/deck, placed in the security stack, moved to the breeding area, or placed under another card.
Q2: With this card's Delay effect, can I DNA digivolve into a Digimon card in my hand that doesn’t have DNA Digivolution?
No. You can’t ignore the digivolution requirements, so you can’t DNA digivolve into a Digimon card that doesn’t have DNA Digivolution.
Q3: Does this card's Delay effect allow me to DNA digivolve into a card other than the Digimon specified by DNA Digivolution in the hand?
No. You can’t ignore the digivolution requirements, so you can’t DNA digivolve using Digimon that aren’t specified in DNA Digivolution.
