"When ... would leave the battle area other than by battle" refers to when that Digimon is placed in the trash other than as a result of a battle, returned to the hand/deck, placed in the security stack, moved to the breeding area, or placed under another card.
Q2: With this card's Delay effect, can I DNA digivolve into a Digimon card in my hand that doesn’t have DNA Digivolution?
No. You can’t ignore the digivolution requirements, so you can’t DNA digivolve into a Digimon card that doesn’t have DNA Digivolution.
